Troubleshooters Guide to Shipping to Singapore: Example 65′ Spirit Yacht

Shipping boats to the more and more popular destinations of Asia can be complicated depending on yacht size and time of year.
Complete Marine Freight recently shipped the new Spirit 65ft from the UK to Singapore for the Singapore Yacht Show on a container service. The mast was shipped separately direct from South Africa to meet the yacht in Singapore.
If you are looking to ship boats to Singapore and Hong Kong out of Europe the main ports of loading are Felixstowe in the UK and Bremerhaven in Germany in North Europe and Genoa in Southern Europe.
Transit times are 30-40 days depending on the service you choose. The sailings are regular with scheduled ships leaving every 2 weeks.
Traditionally shipping of sailing boats would require for the yacht mast to be removed, however some lift on lift off services have started to accept yachts mast up. Motor yachts up to 640 tons can be taken on a monthly service to many different destinations in Asia, including ports in the Middle East.
Countries that have a regular service are:
UAE, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong and China
Complete Marine Freight are exhibiting at the Singapore Yacht Show and will be located at Stand K40, should you have any questions about shipping into or out of Asia please make a visit to the stand during the show.
