Complete Marine Freight has been assisting with the logistics and yacht transport for the new Ran 72’ Mini Maxi that has just won the Palma Vela event in the Mini Maxi class.
The boat was built at the Persico facility in Italy and was completed only 2 weeks prior to the race event in Palma. CMF had the challenge to truck the boat from Italy to Valencia and then by ferry to Palma. A challenge indeed as the boat takes up pretty much two and a half lanes of motorway and also comes in at a total length of 28 metres including the truck!
Whilst the boat was being completed, CMF also organised the international boat shipping of their new mast from Southern in New Zealand to arrive at the same time as the boat. Due to the time of year and there being less direct shipping services available, the mast shipping took 36 days from Auckland. The mast arrived in to STP exactly as planned giving the team from Ran a reasonable time window to get the yacht put together, rig in and get some practice days in prior to the actual event. CMF are proud to be working with Ran V and to top it all off for Ran was the win at the Palma Vela Regatta.
Certainly not a bad debut for the new boat!

“ Running a full on race program such as the one we do you need a reliable logistics team moving our equipment around the globe. The new boat has not been any different and I am happy to say that Complete Marine Freight arranged everything we needed in good order and on time. I can recommend the team both in Palma and the UK.”
